Additive Inverse


The additive inverse of a number is the original number with its sign changed. If you add the number and it's additive inverse together, it will always equal zero.

For example:

The additive inverse of 12 is -12 (12 + -12 = 0)

The additive inverse of -4 is 4 (-4 + 4 = 0)
